Re-opening Update & Details

Starting Sunday, June 7 we will be offering in-person services for the 10:30am time only. We have thought through the reopening process very carefully and want to reassure you that we are taking many precautions to give you a safe worship environment. With that said, those of you not ready to come back right away can still view our worship services online. They will be broadcasted live on Facebook, YouTube, and our website.

For at least the month of June, the only church activities happening in-person will be Sunday worship. Worship services will be "family style," meaning that the whole family worships together and there will be no childcare available. As we continue to monitor current events, we will look at reopening in-person ministries, groups, events, fellowships, etc. for all ages.

Here are some precautionary measures taken:

-Rows of chairs spread out at least 6 feet.

-Hand sanitizing stations set up around worship center.

-Everything will be contactless (no bulletins, doors propped open, offering drop-off box instead of passing the plate, etc).

-Face masks are recommended but not required.

-No fellowship time (sorry coffee and donut lovers)

-We have added our atrium and media classroom as overflow in case we have more people than anticipated.

-If you are sick with any sort of illness, we ask that you stay home and continue to worship with us online at

COVID-19 Update

COVID-19, or the Coronavirus, has been labeled a pandemic and now declared as a National Emergency. Universities all over the US are canceling classes. Almost all major sports have canceled games. Schools are closing all over the country. The Tucson Festival of Books, the Folk Festival and other events in Tucson have been canceled. Cancellations are becoming the norm. Many employers, including the University of Arizona, are moving to remote offices. The city is not issuing permits to groups over 10 people.

The uncertainty of this outbreak is creating anxiety in our culture. Yet, we remain certain of God’s steadfast presence and careful attention to all that is happening. Please join us in praying for those who are affected by this illness, as well as their caregivers and those who are working around the clock to minimize the impact of this virus. In Psalm 46, we are reminded that it is God who is our refuge and strength, and our ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, let us be wise, but not fear, while we continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our city and world.

Services online only through May

Through the month of May, our services will be held online only. You can access this at Service times will be 10:30AM. Our hope is to be able to gather together as soon as possible, but in the meantime, we believe we can continue to learn and grow together as a church by worshipping in our homes with friends and family. We’ll keep monitoring the situation and keep you updated on when we can resume.

How YOU can help

Mountain View is collecting food and house supplies (toilet paper, cleaning supplies, paper towels, etc) to provide to those in need. Likewise, consider giving to the benevolence fund through our online giving platform. Your financial gifts will go towards both food & supplies and paying bills for those in need. Visit our GIVE page to donate.

Mountain View is also looking for volunteers to help shop for elderly, quarantined, disabled, or busy families with kids. If you'd like to serve in that way click here and let us know.

Need food and supplies?

If you are sick, including being quarantined and you have a need, please let your small group know. If you are not a part of a small group, call the church office at (520) 744-9141. We are coming together to provide food and supplies to people in need around our city. If you need aid (in the form of food & supplies or help with bills), please click the button below and fill the form out for yourself or someone you know.

Leadership will review each question. Not all questions will get a personal response; however, each questions' content will be addressed in some form in our updates.
