YOUTH MINISTRY

Middle and High School Students

YOUTH MINISTRY

At Mountain View Baptist Church, our middle and high school students will experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way.

We believe that the teen years are one of the most formative times in a person's life and so we take the discipleship and well-being of your student seriously. Lessons and messages that we craft are biblically driven. And because the students of today have grown up in the age of the internet, they are exposed and aware of things a lot quicker in life than previous generations. Because of this we want to help students grapple with Scripture and learn that God does in fact have plans for a hope and a future for them.

In addition to solid Biblical teaching, we also believe that belonging to a Christian community is of vital importance. Everyone wants friends and a place to belong so we teach students the importance of church and life together in Christian community.

Overall, we want students to know Jesus. We want to teach them and live the life of a Jesus follower. Come check us on a Sunday morning or Wednesday night.

MEETING TIMES

Our middle and high school students meet together every:

Sunday Morning (youth building) | 9:00-10:00 a.m. Every Sunday except Easter

Wednesdays (youth building) | 6:30-8:00 p.m. August 23 - December 20

WHAT TO EXPECT

Every Sunday, middle and high school students will meet in our youth building for Sunday school. Here, students play games, meet new friends and learn about God at a level appropriate for their age. Sunday messages range from topical to biblical book driven. Parents do not need to check in their student to Sunday morning meetings.

Wednesday meetings are our popular option and a great chance for students to get to know their peers on a deeper level in a more casual environment. Students will engage in activities, worship, a message, and get connected to their peers through small groups. Parents do not need to check in their student to Wednesday meetings.

EVENTS & COMMUNITY SERVICE

Our student ministry regularly hosts fun events for students to get together and invite friends. To find out when events are happening, head to our events page and filter by "students".

Not all events will take place on the church campus. Because of this, we ask that you RSVP to events on our events page so that we can make sure we have an adequate number of volunteer drivers.

One of our beliefs is that in addition to sharing the gospel with people verbally, we believe Christians should "love their neighbor" by serving the community and meeting the needs of people everywhere they go. Because of this, our student ministry makes great efforts to not just have fun but also serve local people and organizations. Look for service events on our events page.

HELP FUND CAMP

Each summer our student ministry will go to a summer camp or a mission trip. However, due to the cost, families cannot always afford to send their teen to one of these life changing experiences. If you'd like to help, head to our GIVE section and give to the fund titled "youth camp." All of your generous giving goes toward lowering the out-of-pocket cost for families sending their teens.
