Worship times, directions and what to expect during your first visit to Mountain View.

Whether you're new to church or new to Tucson, you're welcome at Mountain View. We know you probably have some questions (and maybe even some nerves) before your first visit, so we want to help you know what to expect. And, if you let us know you're coming, we can personally answer any remaining questions you may still have. We can't wait to meet you!

Our worship service begins online and in-person at 10:30 a.m. with small groups for all ages meeting at 9 a.m. on the church campus.

Mountain View is located in northwest Tucson by Thornydale and Overton roads. For directions, go here.

  • What does Christmas Eve at Mountain View look like?
We look forward to our candlelight Christmas Eve service every year. This all-ages service celebrates the birth of Jesus with familiar Christmas carols and a hopeful message from a pastor. It concludes with the glow of dozens of flickering candles held high. It's a magical night. This year's candlelight service begins at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Sunday, Dec. 24 in the worship center, (the front building with the large cross). The worship service is one-hour long and includes live music and a message from our pastor. We'll have a hot chocolate bar set up for you to enjoy before and after the worship service. We also suggest getting here a few minutes early to make sure your party can easily find seats. Because Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday this year, we will also have a worship celebration at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24. This is not a candlelight service, and there will be no kids ministry or Sunday School that morning. You can also participate in our Christmas Eve service from home. Catch the livestream at or on our YouTube channel: MVBCTucson.
  • How long is the church service?
In total, a Mountain View worship celebration is about 60 minutes in length. Services begin with the church worship band leading the congregation in music. Song lyrics are projected onto screens so you can sing along and engage with the music however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of service is complete, a pastor will share an encouraging, challenging and hope-filled message from the Bible. Pro Tip: We will have a hot chocolate bar set up before the service, so come a few minutes early to grab a drink and save your seat.
  • What about my kids?
Our Christmas Eve service is a celebration for the whole family, so your kids are invited to join you to sing Christmas carols and celebrate the birth of Jesus. We will not have any kids ministry on Sunday, Dec. 24 at 10:30 a.m. or 5 p.m., so please plan to celebrate with the whole family. • Where should I park?
There are dedicated guest parking spots near the front of our parking lot — but if you arrive and don't seen any available spots, don't worry! There is a large parking lot on campus just behind the church buildings.
  • What should I wear?
Christmas services are a celebration, so you'll see people dressed up a bit more. However, you can still expect to see a range of styles at our worship services, from jeans and T-shirts to suits and dresses. Wear what makes you comfortable, and bonus points if it's festive.
  • Will there be a Sunday morning service on Christmas Eve?
Because Christmas Eve is on a Sunday this year, we will have a service at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24. This is not a candlelight service. Our candlelight service will be at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24.
