Day 1 - Proverbs 3:5-6

• Pray for the pastor search team to trust the Holy Spirit's guidance.

• Pray that the pastor God has chosen for us will seek and trust the leading of the Holy Spirit.

• Pray for the church to wholeheartedly trust the Lord while searching for a pastor.

Day 2 - Romans 8:26

• Pray for the church and pastor search team to hear the Holy Spirit clearly throughout the pastor search process.

• Give thanks to God for the truth that when we don't know what to pray, the Holy Spirit will intercede for us.

Day 3 - Ephesians 4:1-6

• Pray for unity among the pastor search team as they review and discuss potential pastoral candidates.

• Pray for unity, peace and patience in the church while searching for a pastor.

Day 4 - John 15:1-8

• Pray for members of the pastor search team to remain close to Christ.

• Pray for church members to continually abide in Jesus and produce much fruit that glorifies the Father during the interim period.

Day 5 -  John 15:9-15

• Pray for wisdom for the pastor search team to select the man God has already chosen as our pastor.

• Pray for God to bind the church and future pastor together in love.

• Pray for church members to abide in the love of Christ and love one another with the love of Christ.

Day 6 - 2 John 1:5-6

• Pray for our church to walk in love with one another.

• Pray we increase the quality of our relationship with God and with each other in our church.

Day 7 - Jeremiah 29:11-13

• Pray for the pastor search team, the church body and church staff to trust in God and seek Him wholeheartedly with the realization that He is in control of the church's future.

Day 8 - Psalm 139:23-24

• Pray for members of the pastor search team to have humble hearts before God that are pure and Christ-like as they work through the pastor search process.

• Pray for our future pastor, that his heart remains humble and pure before God.

• Ask God to reveal your heart to you. Ask Him to show you those areas He wishes to work in your life to make you more like Christ.

 

Day 9 - Ephesians 6:10-18

• Pray with the understanding that searching for a pastor is primarily a spiritual process, so spiritual warfare will be present.

•  Pray for God's protection on the pastor search team, the church and our future pastor and his family.

Day 10 - 2 Timothy 2:1-2

• Pray for deep spiritual cleansing and fullness of the Holy Spirit in each pastor search team member. Pray this for each team member by name.

• Pray for a powerful cleansing and renewal by the Holy Spirit as our church waits upon God.

• Pray for your future pastor and his family to be strengthened by the grace of Jesus Christ.

Day 11 - James 1:5-8

• Pray for the pastor search team to seek God's wisdom as they review resumes and prepare to contact potential pastoral candidates.

• Pray for our church leaders to seek God's wisdom during this time of searching for our next pastor.

 

Day 12 - Colossians 1:9-12

• Pray for wisdom for the pastor search team to select the man God has already chosen as our pastor.

• Pray for unity and love among all members of our church.

• Pray for our future pastor and his family to be certain that it is

  God's will to transition to a new field of ministry.

 

Day 13 - Ephesians 5:15-16

• Pray for the pastor search team to make wise use of their time during their meetings.

• Pray for the Lord to reveal His will to our future pastor.

Day 14 - Philippians 2:1-11

• Pray that the members of the pastor search team will seek God's will for our church above their own desires.

• Pray that all church members will set aside individual expectations for our new pastor and decide in unity who God is calling.

Day 15 - John 13:34-35

• Pray for the pastor search team and the church to be obedient to Christ's command to love one another.

• Pray that our church's Christ-like love will be seen in our community.

Day 16 - 1 Corinthians 1:10

• Pray for unity among the pastor search team members as they make decisions regarding our next pastor.

• Pray for unity within our church as we wait upon God during the pastor search process.

• Pray for each member of the pastor search team to have an overwhelming sense of God's presence and guidance as they work through the steps of the pastor search process.

• Pray for the church congregation to be strong in the Lord and not to be afraid or discouraged.

• Pray for the prevention of the enemy's influence in misleading or rushing the pastor search team.

• Pray for the pastor search team to discern if potential pastoral candidates possess the biblical qualities of a true servant of the Lord.

• Pray our next pastor will have a heart to shepherd our flock.

• Pray for our church to grow in love toward one another.

• Pray for unresolved conflict to be worked out and for reconciliation among any broken relationships in the church.

 

Day 28 - Ephesians 1:15-23

• Pray for God to give the pastor search team wisdom in every decision they make.

• Pray for our new pastor to grow in the wisdom and knowledge of God the Father.

• Pray for our church to grow in the wisdom and knowledge of God the Father.

Day 29 - Jeremiah 33:3

• Pray for each member of the pastor search team to have an overwhelming sense of God's presence and guidance as they work through the steps of the pastor search process.

• Pray that a burden for deep and urgent prayer permeates the church not only as we seek God's will for a pastor, but also as we seek His direction for the church.

Day 30 - Hebrews 10:19-25, Luke 10:27

• Pray for the pastor search team to be confident that they are following God's will as they make decisions regarding our future pastor.

• Pray for our church to encourage one another in the love of Jesus and to love God with all of our heart, with all of our soul, with all of our strength and with all of our mind and to love our neighbor as we love ourself.

Day 31 - Matthew 28:18-20

• Pray for wisdom for the pastor search team to find a pastor who has a heart to be a great commission leader.

• Pray that our future pastor will be a missions oriented leader.

• Pray for our church to be a great commission church that makes disciples.
